So my first step would be to go into Device Manager and uninstall the monitor, restart, and see if it loads the driver through Plug & Play. Hi everyone, as far as I know, this has started since upgrading to Windows 10. On my Asus-Notebook Windows has installed the driver for my webcam With this driver the picture is upside down in the camera app and also in Skype.
the webcam is very dark but still functioning, as in, if I hold a light in front of it, it will appear on the screen. The I installed the Windows 7 Driver USB 2.0 1.3 M UVC and in Skype the picture is...
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the webcam driver.
- Reboot the laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
Carefully pull the memory module from the slot by the edges. There are two wires connected to the wireless card (Wi-Fi card). In order to disconnect the antenna cable from the card, grab the gold connector with our finger tips and unsnap it from the card. Start lifting up the bezel and separate it from the top cover. After you release the bezel, you’ll be able to lift up the keyboard as it shown on the picture below. Before you pull the cable you have to unlock the connector. Here’s how to unlock the connector on the motherboard. The connector is permanently soldered to the motherboard.
By the way, if you are replacing the keyboard, you don’t have to remove memory, CD/DVD drive and wireless card. Do not lift it up too far because there are wires connected to the bezel. Very carefully move the cable locking tab to the direction shown by two red arrows using your fingernails. After the cable has been released, you can pull it from the connector and remove the keyboard. On the picture above you can see how the bezel with all cable connected.
Be careful when you lifting up the bezel in the step 6, you can accidentally disconnect the cables.
Ik have a Z70 with built in webcam that does not work in any of the programs.
The memory card will pop up at a 20-30 degree angle. The keyboard is connected to the motherboard via a flat ribbon cable. You’ll have to either use the laptop with an external keyboard or replace the motherboard.
Carefully disconnect fan cable from the motherboard. This dust buildup kills normal airflow inside the cooling module and causes overheating. Here’s how you can replace thermal paste between the heatsink and CPU. In the following steps I’ll explain how to disconnect and remove the keyboard. Lift up the bezel with a flathead screwdriver as it shown on the picture below.
My laptop had a lot of dust trapped between the fan and heatsink. If you break the connector, you’ll have to replace the whole motherboard.
